Embrace the spontaneity of watercolour as you experiment with colourful wet-in-wet washes and lively brushstrokes to create birds that feel dynamic and full of personality.


This workshop is perfect for all abilities and will help you gain confidence in striking the balance between bold, expressive strokes and just enough refinement to bring your work to life!

1-Day Workshop: Watercolour (or watery acrylics)

Workshop General Details:

  • £80 per person

Tea & Coffee etc included. Please bring your own lunch (there is no shop in the village)

Suitable for abilities and experience levels.

​Suggested Materials

Your favourite usual materials will be fine (a full list will be sent in advance)​

  • Medium size Mop brush and smaller mop / round
  • A3 watercolour paper (and larger if wanted) - gummed block or sheets
  • A warm & cool of each primary plus a turquoise
  • Palette, water pot, Kitchen towel, pencil & rubber
  • Board & tape if using single sheets
  • Reference photos (printed or on device) - I will send photos in advance and/or bring your own​​​​

DISABILITY ACCESS

Lighthorne Village Hall is well equipped for Wheelchair access. Easy out front parking and large ramp to the entrance, plus a well quipped disabled toilet, as well as generally plenty of space.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellation with 2 months or more = 90% refund
  • Less than two months warning = 50% refund
  • Less than 2 weeks warning = no refund I'm afraid
  • (All though, if attendee can find a replacement at short notice then we can offer a 40% refund)
